Our award-winning Sunday Junior Sessions combine expert coaching with engaging gameplay to create an experience kids genuinely look forward to every week.

What Is the Sunday Junior Academy?

Our Sunday Junior Basketball Academy is a weekly coaching programme designed for children aged 5 - 15 across the Fylde Coast. Whether your child has never touched a basketball or already plays competitively, our structured sessions cater to every skill level.

Each week, players progress through carefully designed drills focusing on fundamental basketball skills - dribbling, shooting, passing, defence, and teamwork – before putting their learning into practice through fun, small-sided games and scrimmages.

This isn't just about basketball. It's about building resilience, discipline, and leadership skills that benefit children both on and off the court.

Why Choose Blackpool Basketball's Sunday Sessions?

All Abilities, All Welcome

From complete beginners taking their first shot to experienced players refining their technique, we create an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and challenged at their level.

More Than Basketball

We don't just teach kids how to shoot a basket - we teach them resilience, discipline, and leadership. Our holistic approach develops confident young athletes who carry these life skills into school, friendships, and future challenges.

Clear Progression Pathway

As your child's skills and confidence grow, we provide a structured route from recreational play to competitive basketball, ensuring motivated players have opportunities to progress.
