What Are the Mad Skillz Mid-Week Courses?
Our Mid-Week Junior Courses are intensive 4-5 week basketball programmes running during term time. With sessions strictly limited to just 15 players maximum, your child receives the individual attention and expert feedback that large group sessions simply cannot provide.
Each week builds progressively on the last, creating a structured learning journey that delivers measurable skill improvements. Whether refining shooting technique, mastering ball-handling, or developing defensive prowess, these courses target specific areas for maximum impact.

What Does a Typical Mid-Week Session Include?
Technical Warm-Up (10 minutes)
Dynamic stretches and ball-handling drills focused on the week's skill theme.
Skill Station Work (25 minutes)
Intensive, coach-led stations targeting specific techniques β shooting form, footwork, dribbling patterns, or defensive stance. High repetition, instant feedback.
Game Application Drills (15 minutes)
Controlled scrimmages and situational play where players apply new skills under realistic game conditions with coaching guidance.
Cool-Down & Feedback (10 minutes)
Reflection on progress, individual pointers, and homework drills to practice before the next session.

When: Term-time only (new courses start every 4-5 weeks)
Where: The Blackpool Sixth Form College Sports Centre (venue confirmed upon booking)
Duration: 4-5 consecutive weeks (one session per week)
Session Length: 60 minutes
Ages: 5-15 years old (grouped by age and ability)
Group Size: Maximum 15 players (strictly enforced)
What to Bring: Comfortable sportswear, clean non-marking trainers, water bottle, and willingness to work hard!
